Self-care is often the first step in avoiding and curing health problems, in my opinion. When it comes to breast health, I can't stress enough how important it is to take care of yourself. Seeing pink ribbons all over the place during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October is fantastic! Any pink ribbon, if I had my way, would bear an additional valuable message for women.

“You will boost your breast health and reduce the chances of breast cancer right now with a few basic lifestyle changes,” the message will read.

True, we have no power over where we live or our genetic risk factors. However, a growing body of evidence suggests that women can improve their breast health by changing their diet, exercising, and losing weight.

These basic measures will help you regulate your hormones and reduce your risk of breast cancer, as well as have other weight, anti-aging, and disease-prevention benefits.
We must stress that everyone can concentrate on what they can handle rather than what they cannot.
